In addition to having acne-free, smooth, and impeccably sculpted skin, one of the most common desires in skincare is to achieve an enviably radiant complexion that lasts forever.

We’re not talking about highlighters or skin-blurring foundations (though they’re great tricks for the impatient); instead, you want that natural glow that shines from within and makes your skin look amazing without makeup.

A lack of radiance can be noticeable all year round, but it’s particularly evident during the colder months when skin becomes pale, dry, and spots are more visible.

The good news? Achieving the glow you crave isn’t as difficult as it seems. Here, I share my best tips and explain how to achieve glowing skin in three simple steps.

Step 1: Hydrate

Skin can appear dull due to dehydration, damage from light exposure, and increased skin laxity, all of which can result in a lack of radiance and a muted tone,”.

“One simple habit that can be incredibly helpful is ensuring we’re staying properly hydrated, as we lose water throughout the day. Good skin turgor (firmness) starts with hydration,”.

In addition to drinking plenty of water throughout the day, it’s essential to use a good moisturizer.

“I recommend using moisturizers with ingredients like hyaluronic acid, which helps retain water and keeps the skin hydrated.

Step 2: Exfoliate

It's important to remove dead skin cells that may be contributing to a dull appearance. “I recommend using a gentle enzymatic peel to eliminate dead cells and smooth the skin’s surface, promoting cell renewal. Additionally, this process helps alleviate dryness, reduce spots, balance acne-prone skin, stimulate new cell growth, and combat signs of aging through its regenerative action.

For skincare enthusiasts, there are many in-clinic procedures that can also enhance your skin’s radiance.

First, consider artisanal oxygenation treatments (including extractions and steam). Once the skin is prepped, treatments like intense pulsed light (IPL) or laser can be tailored to suit individual needs.

Step 3: Protect

The skin is a general marker of our health,”Protecting it from sun damage caused by UV rays is a vital preventive measure to ensure it stays healthy and radiant.

“Use sunscreen to prevent the development of sun-induced hyperpigmentation. The sooner you start using it, the better.

Here’s a tip: don’t apply sunscreen directly to your skin. First, use a serum that provides essential hydrating actives. This not only nourishes the skin but also prevents the sunscreen from clogging pores and suffocating the skin.
